About New Year's in Japan

Most people eat buckwheat noodles (Soba) on New Year's Eve, and eat Osechi on New Yaer's. Parents and grand parents give money to children. I got money from my parents and grand parents. I was happy. Most people visit a shrine and pray to God. I prayed to God too. Most people watch sunrise but it was cloudy New Year's day. Most people send a New Year's greeting postcard to friends, teachers, coaches and acquaintances.
A Happy New Year!

I go back to Japan

I went back to Japan from December 24th to January 3rd.
I stayed at my house just two days.
I stayed at Kurohime in Nagano other days. Kurohime is a ski area. I did training there. When I stayed in Japan, it was snowy many days, so I enjoyed powdery snow somedays.

Japanese foods were so good. I like Japanese foods. I love Japan.

Quebec race

I did 4 races in Tremblant and Mt Blanc from December 19th to December 22nd. It was my first Canadian FIS race.

Tremblant was a big ski resort. There were many hotels, restaurants and stores.

I went skating in a village with Masaru and Gab. It was my first time skating too.

I didn't get FIS points these races, but it was a good experience for me, but it was so cold there.
